Sourballs Also Vs. Road Tripping Adventures

16 Comments on Sourballs Also Vs. Road Tripping Adventures

Finally finally finally, new page! I’m pretty sure this is most lighthearted comic you’ll see all week that has a character lying in broken glass.

The best kind of besties? MAYBE.

That is a tapeworm I will gladly take foxy-girl!!

I feel like the concept of spreading tapeworms through makeouts is one of my most revolting ideas ever, and I’m strangely proud of that.

Oh I loooove the bottom left panel. That’s so pretty and poetic.

Thanks! I love coming up with little bits of songs for these comics — I try to give a sense of these characters as songwriters and performers in a way that feels, y’know, interesting, and suggests there’s more going on that you could get into if you lived in this universe and could actually listen to the albums and etc.
Turpentine is *really genuine* about her poetry, although she sometimes pretends otherwise.

As the Bible teaches, “They who live by the truck stop sushi shall die by the truck stop sushi.”

They who live by the truck stop sushi shall die by the gas station bathroom.

My favourite gas station sign: “Eat here and get Gas”
“Eat Here and get Tapeworms”, not as enticing!

“Wait, where’s Arsenic?” Sounds like an adventure in itself.

I like the idea that he had a crazy, elaborate adventure offscreen, between this page and the next one. Danger, intrigue, romance.

And he remembers like, absolutely nothing about the adventure because he was staring at somebody’s abs the entire time.

I’m intrigued by ‘Decorative taxidermy’
Is it like Tring Museum?

Have a look at gallery 3 and the dressed fleas – I kid you not- they were my favourite exhibit when I was a kid.

Kathleen on June 25, 2013 @ 10:36 pm

Oh man, this is so weird! I had no idea that fleas were even big enough to allow for costuming them — maybe I’ve never actually seen one in real life?

In return: I’m originally from Alberta, Canada, home to this taxidermy hotspot: http://gopherholemuseum.ca/

That’s hilarious, I love weird museums.

I love the implication that Turps rolled around in the broken glass of the champagne bottle and is now covered in cuts/band-aids.

Alternatively: fought the skunk and… won?
