CUT TO: maybe this random guy in the fourth panel, now stuck home sick with the same cold, frowning and watching sad horse movies.

Every reader saw that last panel and thought “I have a few suggestions… KISS HER, YOU FOOL!”

Honey might be pretty torn between sparkly hearts-rainbows-stars delight, and OH GOD, GERMS AND MUCUS EVERYWHERE horror.

Come on, Turp, negative emotions are like your field of expertise. Frenemies don’t let frenemies wallow in melancholy all on their own!

She’s not used to seeing Honey get so close to her own negative territory like this! She…needs a moment to process it.

so i mean . . . isn’t there some likelihood that honey hart is playing out this whole scene GONE on pain pills?

. . . or NOT on pain pills??

i keep reading it over one way and then the other

I wasn’t thinking of it like that, but hey, I wouldn’t rule it out as one more factor in how Broken Ankle Honey has…gone a little weird (+ frustration + cabin fever + wallowing in saddddd feelings)

Honey Hart shot straight to being the character I empathise with to the most.

I think that Turps will like seeing torn down distraught Honey. She can see that there’s more to her, that she isn’t this always positive optimistic girl, that even she can feel sad and affected by things and be vulnerable. I hope this brings them closer
