Was archive-binging this comic yesterday and today (As I often do with my favorite webcomics), and was pleasantly surprised to discover that this comic updated while I was doing so. 🙂 I really love this comic, especially Honey (She’s pretty much a girl version of goody-two-shoes, no-drinking, no-swearing me… except she has musical talent). I love seeing Honey and Turpentine as a couple; prior to their kiss, they’ve had the best “will they or won’t they?” story I’ve ever seen; they have enough differences and enough in common that their chemistry is PERFECT. Got a few questions!

1. Are we going to see more of Honey’s bandmates? While the Sourballs have all had their share of dialogue and opportunities for their personal interests to shine, Honey seems to be the dominant voice in her band (especially with Zero having as much dialogue as his name implies), and I want to know more about Coco and Cherry.

2. I saw in the comments that you kinda locked the Sourballs into their band name early on, and have been less sure of that as time has gone on. Is it because “Sourballs” doesn’t sound goth-metal-darkness-y enough? I like to imagine that Turpentine chose the name because of some childhood incident, like always getting in trouble in elementary school for always eating them in class (Her first detention!), or some urban legend where someone choked to death on a sourball or something. Or both.

3. If there were ever a BvB animated series, who would you pick for the voice cast (My favorite question to ask my fellow webcomic artists)?

Anyway, sorry about blathering on and on there… I love your comic, and there’s no doubt in my mind that whatever storms or fair weather besets our heroines, this comic will continue to rock out loud. 😀 Keep being awesome!

Ah! Isometric apartment time! Love this one, but I really need to know what movie are they watching?

is that a trashmas party going on outside, or just a run-of-the-mill garbage fire?

Oooh, there’s so much going on, it looks like an “I Spy” game!

I spy two fires, five discarded shoes, two girls kissing, and a heart shaped tattoo!

So we’ve got to draw a circle around Honey and a circle around everything else?

Another new reader here! This comic is great. I love all the little themes and I think it has my favorite aesthetic of anything ever. Have a happy 2018!

I love your comic! I would really like to buy the collection, but your store is not working 🙁 Any idea when it will be back up?

Kathleen on January 29, 2018 @ 11:14 pm

Thank you – glad you like the comic! I paused the store for now while I’m preparing to do a kickstarter for the second book, just to simplify things with keeping track of shipping and inventory and etc while I’m busy with that. I’m not totally sure when I’ll have it back again – sorry about that!

Makes sense. Maybe have an option on the Kickstarter to get a copy of both books? In any case, I’ll keep an eye out for it!

I hope it isn’t weirdly late to comment on this, but I really like how you do an ISpy thing for your detailed drawings! It really helps me to carefully look and appreciate everything you’ve drawn. 🙂 <3 <3 <3
