Also, I like that she only took a bite out of the frosting, which means that presumably Soda knew she’d do that and poisoned the frosting, rather than the more logical “rest of the cupcake.”

It seems like it’d be easier to put ground up pills in frosting though. Plus, I’ve never met someone who didn’t eat the frosting.

Whatever it is, it’s clearly at least in the top 10% of this evil cupcake.

I’m sometimes not into the frosting, actually. It can get overpoweringly, feel-sort-of-sick sugar rush sweet. I once told Jeanne that I’m actually not much of a dessert fan despite my love of drawing sweet stuff and having this set of characters with candy names, and she was kind of shocked.

One of my specific trains of thought with this page was that I didn’t want her underwear to be too sexy! I wanted more like the girl equivalent of that kind of classic cartoon thing where a boy character loses his pants in some comedy of errors and is momentarily embarrassed about heart-patterned boxer shorts.

That Soda Sweet is more Saccharine for sure, deceptively sweet surface but full of nasty chemicals! I was not expecting this to go SWF.
Who says that panties have to be tiny to be cute?

Yeah — BVB has a few sets of characters that are like parallels/reflections of each other in various ways, and Soda is kind of like a False Parallel to Honey…she seems superficially similar, but is actually not at all.
(And yeah, I would never make the claim that relatively modest underpants can’t be cute!)
