Band Vs. Wrong Alternate Lineup Version Of Band

17 Comments on Band Vs. Wrong Alternate Lineup Version Of Band

Characters in this world can pull their musical instruments out of nowhere and assemble in Band Group Formation at a moment’s notice — that is, unless attention is drawn to the fact that they can’t.

Honey Hart’s Band Mode Transformation is something like Sailor Moon Magical Transformation thing, but with more glitter, rainbows and sugar, I would imagine.

YES.

This is totally foreplay for Turps and Honey. And OMG! Damon acknowledged that Honey is pretty great! Do I smell another band crush?

Kathleen on March 25, 2013 @ 10:46 am

Damon having a crush oh Honey? Nah, he’s completely gay. Never kissed a girl, not even in some awkward-high-school-social-obligation situation.

Turpentine really misses Whatserface when she’s not around.

Kathleen on March 25, 2013 @ 11:09 am

She kinda thinks of the other three Candy Hearts as Whatserface, Whatsisname, and The Other One.

First rule of band fight, there are no rules.

Kathleen on March 25, 2013 @ 11:06 am

If there are any other rules, they might just be about the necessity of sexual tension between *at least* two participants.

Dang, I forgot about that… << But this is still foreplay for Turps and Honey! ^_^

They’re SO excited to see each other in this one. Giddy, even.

What’s going on in the first panel with those white dashes? Also, aww its so nice to see Damon smiling and enjoying himself in the real world and not a dream about himself

Kathleen on March 25, 2013 @ 6:55 pm

He’s jumping up to sit on that staircase thing. I probably coulda conveyed that better!

Chloe on March 25, 2013 @ 7:42 pm

Its okay, I get it now. Its amazing to see your art improve with each strip. Very glad to witness it 🙂

I was looking at last weeks update with the make up tips, and one of the reasons I really like Turps occurred to me. She’s tough as nails and doesn’t take shit, but at the same time she’s still very feminine, like a fucked up Disney princess, if the princesses were willing to get off their butts and save themselves. A lot of the time when you see characters as tough as Turps, they don’t really care about their make up or clothes. Turps style may not suit everyone in her universe, but the last page shows she puts a lot of effort into how she looks. For some reason, I like that a lot.

Yeah, this idea is pretty important to me – I really hate the idea that femininity (or being interested in stuff like creativr makeup and clothes) is looked down on as necessarily weak or bad or something, for either girls or boys. Alt-feminine lesbian representation!

Oh yay, I’m glad I picked up on it then ^_^ If anything, people who put a lot of care into their appearance are stronger than others. It takes time to learn how to do your hair and make up properly, and a good number of people, myself included, will just say ‘fuck it.’ I’m trying to get the hang of eyeliner and it is HARD. I can only imagine how many times Turpentine had to practice. And then there’s the princess tiara ^_^ Even grown up, those little plastic things make you feel pretty lol
